Sichuan Province is very rich in energy resources,its total energy reserves accounts for 44% of entire China, having China?s 21.4% of hydro-energy reserves (143 million kilowatts, only 10.34 million kilowatts are under developing), natural gas reserves of 253 trillion cubic feet, and other forms of energies, such as peat (around 2 billion tons), bios [firewood (12 million tons), straws pipes (42 million tons), marsh gas (35 billion cubic meter)], solar, wind, etc.
